Mother's Day Mile:
The 17th Annual Mother's Day Mile will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2016 with opening ceremonies beginning at 12:45pm. This event benefits the domestic and sexual violence programs of Advocate Safehouse Project. This premier community event attracts elite men and women competitors, recreational runners, and a host of community walk and run competitors who complete the one mile course just for fun. The Mother's Day Mile is as much a celebration as it is a race. A celebration of Moms, fitness, and community. Of course, men, women, and families invited.
NEW LOCATION & NEW RACE!
• Now located at the Glenwood Springs Community Center!
• Two different race courses for three different races:
• 5K all-terrain timed race,
• one-mile timed race, and
• one-mile Family Fun Run/Walk.
All race courses loop: beginning and ending at the Glenwood Springs Community Center, 100 Wulfson Road, Glenwood Springs, Colorado. All mothers receive a rose. All participants receive a cupcake! Pre-register to guarantee a goody bag!

ASP Horse Benefit Show: August 6th & 7th, 2016
If you love horses, then the 15th Annual Advocate Safehouse Project Benefit Horse Show in August is for you. Come and watch horses and riders compete in 65 different events ranging from Baby Green Hunter, Pony Hunter & Equitation, and High/Low Hunters on Saturday to Flower Power, Beginner Rider and Jumpers on Sunday.
Located at the beautiful Strang Ranch (0393 County Road 102, Carbondale, Colorado) atop Missouri Heights. This horse show is sanctioned by the Colorado West Hunter Jumper Association (CWHJA). The funds raised will support Advocate Safehouse Project’s programs in Garfield County and the Roaring Fork Valley. Advocate Safehouse Project promotes healthy relationships free from violence through education, advocacy, empowerment and safehousing. For more information call 970-928-2070.

Entries: $12.00 per class, $5.00 non-member fee/day
EMT: $10 fee - per rider per day
Rules: USEF rules apply in all instances except where specifically covered by CWHJA.
Attire: Coats waived – CRAZY SHIRT DAYS!! USEF - approved hard hat and boots with heels required for all riders when jumping. Junior riders must wear ASTM/SEI approved helmets with harness fastened whenever mounted anywhere on the show grounds.

Schooling: Friday 1 – 6 p.m. Must Sign Waiver. $25.00 Fee, Payable to Strang Ranch. Saturday 7 – 8 a.m. & after show Sunday 7 – 8 a.m.

Concessions: Breakfast: Coffee, Juice, & Pastries, Lunch: provided by Aspen Cornucopia
Kids Activities: 11:00 – 2:00 both days
